Pondok Ranggon Dam Project Still Stagnated

Due to problem of land acquisition, the construction of Pondok Ranggon Dam 1 and 2, Cipayung, East Jakarta is still stagnated. Besides that, the neighborhood road cannot be passed by heavy equipment. 

The problem is land acquisition. The land owner is still confusing

Staff of River and East Coast Flow System for Jakarta Water Management Dept, Asep Setia Permana disclosed, Pondok Ranggon Dam 1 and 2 is targeted to be constructed this year.

"The problem is land acquisition. The land owner is still confusing. Yet Pondok Ranggon Urban Village Head, will help us to summon them and do socialization to local residents," he expressed, Monday (8/22).

His side also had surveyed the location, to ensure heavy equipment track. As a matter of fact, the track cannot be entered. The only way to go is Army Headquarters area. Therefore, his side would coordinate with them to reach the project location.

"The project must be done this year. We'll coordinate with Army Headquarters in terms of access road for heavy equipment," he told.

In Pondok Ranggon area, there would be three dams. With details, Pondok Ranggon 1 will have 11.5 hectares, Pondok Ranggon 2 with 5 hectares and Pondok Ranggon 3 with 2 hectares. But this year's priority is Pondok Ranggon 1 and 2.
