The distribution of food with dangerous substance nowadays, come from outside Jakarta. Almost all small and middle industry (IKM) in the capital are free of dangerous substance.

Based on the monitoring, the IKM products are free of dangerous substance

Jakarta Head Division of Industry for Dept. of Industry and Energy, Edward Napitupulu, the coaching IKM products in Jakarta are free of dangerous substance. It is because the monitoring is held continually.

“Based on the monitoring, the IKM products are free of dangerous substance. But we have no guarantee for products came from outside Jakarta,” he said, Tuesday (8/23).

As for the monitoring strengthening, his side cooperates with City Police. Factory around Jakarta which producing food with dangerous substances is charged with crime.

“Mostly the factories are exists in outside Jakarta. They mix the products with borax, rhodamine B and formalin,” he closed.
