Trigger Congestion, Sidewalk Around Sunter Toll Gate Arranged

A sidewalk of Jl Yos Sudarso, around Sunter Toll Gate, Sunter Jaya Urban Village, Tanjung Priok are cut. Cutting is done because the sidewalk has triggered narrowing of the road or bottle neck.

After being investigated, the sidewalk should be cut to smoothen traffic flow

Section Head of Maintenance for North Jakarta Bina Sub-dept, Sutarno disclosed, all this time, the sidewalk as long as 50 meters is always complained by the motorist for triggering congestion. Additionally, part of bottle neck is often used by public minivan to pick up passenger.

"After being investigated, the sidewalk should be cut to smoothen traffic flow," he stated, Thursday (8/25).

But his side is plagued by the utilities that installed is not within the rules. Hence, he has coordinated with the Completeness of infrastructures Road Network Utilities (KPJJU).

Nevertheless, the cutting process will not damage the surrounding park, including trees and four absorption wells in the field.

"We also have sent a proposal to Transportation Dept about this matter," he expressed.

According to him, cutting that has been done since four days will be complete four days ahead, including utility installation.
