Buildings on Drain of Setu River Demolished

River and drain normalization keeps being intensified by South Jakarta Administration. Besides restoring its function, it is also important to prevent inundation.

As normalization in a drain of Setu River, RW 03 and 05, Ciganjur, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. There are at least five permanent buildings on the drain were demolished by joint personnel assisted by local citizens.

Of the five buildings, four out of them are store, mass organization post and grocery stall. They have been established by years. Its existence was previously hampering locals to clean up the drain as wide as two meters.

"Demolishment runs conducive. Because the apparatus had done socialization persuasively before," he told.

He added, it was done manually using big hammer because heavy equipment cannot enter into the location.
