Flat Residents Requested Additional School Bus

Pulogebang Flat residents, Cakung are enthusiastic about school bus service in the flat. They hope, the bus could be added thus children do not need to wait a long to go to school.

Maria (36), one of flat citizens admitted she was pleased with school bus service in the flat. She hoped, the service keeps being improved thus children feel more comfort and safe.

"School bus service is very good to help children in the flat. I hope its number can be added in future," she stated, Thursday (9/1).

Indri (12), one of students of SMPN 262 Kayu Tinggi, Cakung living in Block A3 No. 212, Pulogebang Flat admitted, every day, she rides school bus from the flat. She also feels safe and comfort because it is equipped by air conditioner (AC) and music.

"I am happy, but I had to wait a long time up to half an hour," she admitted.

Head of Service Unit for School Transport Management Unit (UPAS), Daud Sjamsuridjal disclosed that school bus service in the flat depends on the demand of the flat management. This is because, school hours is commonly vary in the morning and afternoon. There was even at 9 AM or 10 AM thus not all can be covered.

"There are also some students in different school. Thus it cannot be covered, but we remain serve them using a motorcycle by our officer," he told.

He added, such service will continue to be improved. If additional bus is required, his side will propose it next year.
