BPJS Participation in Jakarta Has Reached 70 Percent

Citizens participation in BPJS Kesehatan in the capital has reached 70 percent. It is hoped all Jakartans could be registered in such national program.

We want Jakartans to have BPJS

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama admitted has asked urban village and puskesmas head to collect citizen data who has not been have BPJS.

"We want Jakartans to have BPJS," said Basuki, at City Hall, Thursday (9/1).

70 Panggang Island Residents Have Double BPJS Card

For underprivileged people, he continued, will be covered by City government. This year, his party has allocated Rp 1.2 trillion for premium payment, yet it is only for third-class room.

"This is the spirit of gotong royong that makes people want to contribute," he expressed.

BPJS Kesehatan Director, Fahmi Idris disclosed, Jakarta will become a model as adoption of healthy province universe. That means, all citizens must have health insurance without exception.

"The point is becoming Jakarta as healthy province universe where all people must have health insurance," he stated.

He added that some ways to get BPJS program are covered by the government, by the company and individual.
