Limited Time, 45 Schools Renovation Failed

Of 83 schools to be renovated, only 38 schools can go. The remaining 45 schools auction are failed due to limited time.

Jakarta Head Dept. of Education, Sopan Adrianto, said the auction result was announced in August. It means his side only has 3.5 months left.

“We must cancel the plan since the time left is 3.5 months,” he said, Monday (9/5).

Council Wants School Building Renovation Continued

Not only about the matter of time, the cancellation is also based on school access. Narrow access made the heavy equipments can not enter the location.

“Manual construction will take longer time,” he added.

According to him, the allocated budget this year is Rp 1.04 trillion. Rp 471 billion will be used to renovate 38 schools, and the remaining Rp 571 trillion is returned to the regional cash.

“The 45 schools renovation will be proposed again next year,” he closed.
