City Population and Civil Registration Dept ensured e-ID card that has been issued to the public cannot be duplicated.

"Don't try to duplicate e-ID card. Because we can detect it," said Edison Sianturi, Head of City Population and Civil Registration Dept, Tuesday (9/6). 

He explains citizens who have done recording twice cannot get the card. This is because the card cannot be printed because it is duplicate record.

"Recording result is now sent to national center, and then will go through the process of data singleness," he explained.

He cited, residents who have already done recording in Bandung and do it again in Jakarta, that means the identity number (NIK) will be processed in Bandung. 

"Automatically, we get the data that processed in Bandung, instead of Jakarta," he told.

Meanwhile, Head of North Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Sub-dept, Erik Polim Sinurat added this matter will be coordinated with Population Administrative General Director.
