Fire Dept Needs 1,625 Personnel

Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Dept needs more 1,625 personnel. This is because many personnel who are retired every year.

For the initial stage, we will recruit 700 personnel and be assigned as freelancer and trained in PKP Education and Training Center

Subejo, Head of Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept said, at this time, human resources in his dept has decreased 1,625 personnel. Therefore, he would recruit new personnel for field section.

"For the initial stage, we will recruit 700 personnel and be assigned as freelancer and trained in PKP Education and Training Center," he expressed, Wednesday (9/7).

Despite the number is lacking, service quality must remain be optimized.

"Lack of personnel doesn't mean our service are unoptimal, but will be improved," he stressed.

For five cities and Seribu Islands, the number of personnel is ideally 4,500 personnel. But now there are only 2,900 personnel.
