Police Secure Hundreds of Expired Drugs at Pramuka Market

Hundreds of expired drugs were seized during raid at Pramuka Market, Matraman, East Jakarta, Wednesday (9/7). The drugs were seized from three drug stores.

Based on the raid at 10 drugstore, many illegal and expired drugs found

Based on Beritajakarta.com’s observation, the drugs were seized from Apotek (drugstore) Rakyat Fauzi Farma, Apotek Rakyat Sinar Sehat and Apotek Aro’s Farma. Some of drug brands seized are Redoxal and Govazol.

Comm. Pol. Wahyu Nugroho, said the expired drugs seem not expired. But if it is looked closer, the date will be clearly seen.

“Based on the raid at 10 drugstore, many illegal and expired drugs found. The total is being calculated,” he said.

One of drugstore owners, who preferably to be anonymous, admitted the drugs are expired. She will dispose the drugs, but police personnel came first.

“We planned to dispose the expired drugs,” she admitted.
