About 2,000 trees in West Jakarta were pruned during January to August 2016. The effort was aimed to anticipate fallen trees.

West Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of City Park and Cemetery, Uus Kuswanto, said pruned trees were angsana, mahogany, tamarind, trembesi, and so on.

25 Trees on Jl Utan Jati Raya PrunedPruning locations were Jalan Daan Mogot, Outer Ring Road Kembangan, Kyai Tapa, S. Parman, Puri Kembangan, Pesanggrahan, Tomang Raya, and Kota Tua.
