Kebon Bawang Market Inaugurated

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama inaugurated the Kebon Bawang Market, Jl Swasembada Barat XVI, RT 03/014, Kebon Bawang, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Tuesday (9/13).

Basuki disclosed that the market as wide as at least 2,800 square meters can attract traders who commonly sell on the roadside.

"Selling on the roadside, the trader must give a monthly money for the thug. Surely it will impoverish them," he stated, when he inaugurated the market, Tuesday (9/13).

He added, many traders refuse to sell inside market due to kiosk sale and bribe practice. To residents and traders, he asserted, not to conduct such practice.

"They refuse to sell inside, because there is bribe action, especially kiosk sale, this is truly outrageous," he expressed.

He also reminds traders to be honest while selling thus to give credence to the buyer.

As known, Kebon Bawang Market is the fourth market that is contributed from the private sector. This market has 126 stalls.

"As long as Mr and Mrs do not sell the kiosk, you can hand over it to children or son-in-law. Our hope is income can keep increasing well," he finished.
