N. Jakarta PMI Targets to meet 17, 000 Bags of Blood

North Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) is targeting to meet 17,000 bags of blood this year. Cooperation with seven hospitals is also established to improve healthcare service to the public.

"We also want blood donation to become people lifestyle, especially in North Jakarta. It is not impossible 17,000 bags of blood for North Jakarta residents and 4.5 million national requirements can also be met," said Sabri Saiman, Chairman of North Jakarta PMI, during a signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with hospital, Wednesday (9/14).

Those seven hospitals are Koja RSUD, Sukmul, Mulyasari, Hermina, Pelabuhan, and Pekerja KBN.

N. Jakarta PMI Gives 1,000 Medicine Pockets for Homecomers

North Jakarta Mayor, Wahyu Haryadi disclosed, PMI does not only talk about blood supply, but also humanity. Readiness of aid, healthcare service and people welfare is not also separating with main duty of PMI.

"Besides that, PMI helps the government in term of social field. Especially blood transfusion unit that should meet target of 17,000 bags of blood for North Jakarta," he finished.
