Angke Riverbank will Be Greened

North Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept will conduct greening the Angke riverbank, Jl Kampung Gusti, Penjaringan. This is because, at this time, its condition is pretty worrying.

Head of North Jakarta Park and Cemetery Sub-dept, Romi Sidharta disclosed, the park is dirty and dry. It is because it is often used by the street vendor. Whereas, the park on the riverbank had been arranged before.

"We've arranged the park, but damaged again. Street vendor often uses it and throws garbage haphazardly. This is to follow up public complaint and has become attention of Governor," he stated, Wednesday (9/14).

Land Greening in Rawajati Begins

He continued greening will be done in the upcoming September and is targeted only take one week. Later on, the park would be beautified with trees type waru gunung and nyamplung.

"Greening will be done along 500 meters. It is only done at one side," he expressed.

According to him, park on the riverbank needs additional land for planting plant due to inadequate condition.

"The land is not good for planting. And there are some points concreted, thus we cannot plant deeper," he uttered.
