Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) proposed five sport buildings (GOR) in Jakarta as athlete’s training center. The building improvement will be proposed to Monetary Ministry.
The building condition must be improved first
Erick Thohir, KOI Committee, said regional government’s support is needed. It is because training and competition arena must be separated.
“The building condition must be improved first. It’s better to improve the city’s sport buildings than renting buildings,” he said, Wednesday (9/14).
GBK Renovation Targeted to Be Complete in November 2017Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama agreed with the plan. His side is ready to support the improvement fund from developer contribution.
“Building standard must use international standard,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Sylviana Murni, Governor’s Deputy of Culture and Tourism, added if the improvement uses city’s budget, it will take longer time. Previously, city administration has proposed budget for Velodrome and Equestrian construction.
“We’ll all out to prepare the Asian Games,” she stated.
