North Jakarta to Concrete Damaged Roads

A number of roads in North Jakarta that are prone to inundation and rain potential are often damaged. Hence, those will be concreted because this method is able to make road structure permanent than hotmix method.

Hotmix method is not suitable in North Jakarta. So we need concrete method thus road will durable

Section Head of North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-district, Sutarno said hotmix method is not effective and wasteful.

Besides inundation, another problem is the passing heavy vehicles, like truck.

"Hotmix method is not suitable in North Jakarta. So we need concrete method thus road will durable," he expressed, Saturday (9/17).

His side is also routinely repairing the damaged road at some points, precisely three until four times in a month, such as Jalan RE Martadinata until Ancol Sluice Gate, Jalan Cakung Cilincing (Cacing), Jalan Marunda, Jalan Yos Sudarso, and Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan until east side of Pulogadung Terminal.

He added concrete repair is the authority of Bina Marga Dept as well as Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing. They also focus repair potholes to minimize traffic accident. 

"We've reported this matter to them for repair using concrete method," he finished.
