City and Transportation Ministry Discuss About Type A Terminal

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, visited Transportation Ministry office at Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Monday (9/19).

The meeting was aimed to get same perception regarding regulation of type A bus terminal which is handled by the ministry. In fact, the management will be given to Jakarta Provincial Government as the capital city.
“Ministry wants us run their regulation in handling the terminal,” he said.
Street Vendors at Terminal to Be ArrangedMoreover, his side also discussed about Light Rail Transit (LRT) and bus management. There was a suggestion by preparing premium bus for luxury settlement. It is aimed to attract car users moving to use public transport.
“We have ordered the bus, but we need regulation from the ministry,” he added.
Meanwhile, Transportation Minister, Budi Karya Sumadi, said if the Pulogebang Terminal is constructed by Jakarta Provincial Government, then the management is given to them also.
“Regulation like bus flow and everything is from us,” he stated.
