Tens of Illegal Kiosks on Jl Tambora VI Torn Down

Tens of illegal kiosks stood atop the water channel of Jl Tambora VI, RT 04 and 05/RW 01, Tambora Urban Village, Tambora Sub-district, West Jakarta, torn down.

We deploy them to clean up and the channel from mud thus it can work maximally when it rains

Tambora Sub-district Vice Head, Joko Suparno said 20 illegal kiosks are torn down today. All this time, the officer has difficulties to clean up the channel due to covered by building.

"We deploy them to clean up and the channel from mud thus it can work maximally when it rains," he stated, Wednesday (9/21).

He explains, all this time, the kiosks are used as iron and used wood business place. This condition makes the location dirty and slum. The controlling is based on Bylaw No.8/2007 on public order.

"It is to smoothen normalization process thus the location looks neat and clean," he told.

The raid itself involved 100 personnel of Satpol PP, PPSU, freelancer under Cleanliness Sub-dept and Water Management Sub-dept, army and police.
