Jakarta Provincial Government reviews the planning of adding car free day area. Not only to increase the air quality, the plan is also aimed to accommodate the citizens’ enthusiasm.

Jakarta Head Dept. of Transportation, Andri Yansyah, admitted car free day implementation in province and administration area is always flocked by the citizens.

“If we can not add the area, then we’ll add the implementation from once a month to be every Sunday,” he said, Sunday (9/25).

He added that the air quality at the car free day location is better compared to usual day.

Meanwhile, Head Division of Public Information Management for Dept. of Communication, Informatics and Public Relation, Raides Aryanto, explained car free day website will be launched in the near time. The website gives information about agenda during car free day implementation.

“Including with the traders and communities. The will be registered on the web legally,” he stated.
