JPO Tak Laik Akan Segera Dibongkar

Unworthy JPOs will Be Eliminated

Jakarta Transportation Dept is inventorying the pedestrian bridge (JPO) in the capital. This is because, some bridges are considered to be not worth to immediately be dismantled.

I've asked to audit now. We'll do it immediately, thus unworthy bridge can be minimized

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama asks the inventory towards JPO condition must be executed soon. Because La Nina storm will remain hit until early 2017. Thus strong wind will still happen.

"I've asked to audit now. We'll do it immediately, thus unworthy bridge can be minimized," he disclosed, at City Hall, Monday (9/26).

Some bad bridges are also rarely used by people. Thus they would be dismantled for safety matter. Because the bridge is the government asset, thus its dismantling should be through auction process first for the abolition of the asset.

Basuki regrets the slow on the auction process, because dismantling should also calculate the building worth, which is why it takes a long time.

"We have problem to abolish the asset. If the government wants to dismantle, it should be through auction, but the auction will take a long time," he expressed.

His party would use the developer obligation, if the city budget (APBD) cannot be used in dismantling process of JPO.

"If it takes a long time, just tell the construction assistant during executive meeting. Ask for using additional compensation from the developer," he finished.
