Fire has burned a house at Jl Bambu Petung, Kodam Jaya Residence Complex, RT 01/07, Cipayung. Allegedly, it is due to a discarded cigarette accidentally by citizens to a petrol storage area.

No casualties reported in the incident. But two households or six people have lost their houses.

From the information, the flames came out from a warehouse in the size of 3x3 meters. In the inside, there are tens of petrol storage containing jerry can, bottles and drum.

Section Head of East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Gatot Sulaiman disclosed, fire broke out at around 7 AM from the house belongs to Ika Oktavianto (25). Every day, she indeed sells retail gasoline in the house.

"This is due to a discarded cigarette by someone to the warehouse ," he told.

To put out the flames, nine fire trucks sent to the scene, and managed to control it within 40 minutes.

"The loss is still under investigated by the officer," he closed.
