Coconut Tree Planting in Seribu Islands Intensified

Dozens of coconut trees are planted on west side of Kelapa Island, North Seribu Islands Sub-district. Planting itself is done because coconut tree in the island has become extinct.

It's also aimed to prevent abration

"Why the island was named by Kelapa Island? Because the island had lots of coconut trees before. But now, its existence becomes extinct," expressed Cecep Supriyadi, Head of Kelapa Island Urban Village, Saturday (10/1)

His side plants 15 trees on west side of the island. Additionally, the tree has a positive impact for life in the island.
