Adem Permai river at Jalan Mandala Permai, Penjaringan, is cleaned by Water Body Cleanliness Management Unit for Jakarta Dept. of Cleanliness. The cleaning is run since the river was full with water hyacinth and wild plants. The wild plants disturb the water flowing from West Flood Canal to the sea.
It has never been cleaned before
Junjungan Sihombing, head of body, said his personnel cleaned the river along 800 meters starting from connecting bridge of Jalan Mandala Permai up to Sedyatmo toll road.
“It has never been cleaned before,” he said, Wednesday (10/5).
Inundation in Kemang Handled Through Building ControllingHis side deployed two amphibious excavators to clean the area.
It is targeted that the cleaning will complete in the next one month. The effort is an anticipation heading to rainy season.
