Fire Socialization Held in Pluit Dam Park

Because of many people visit to the Pluit Dam Park, Penjaringan, the North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept held socialization about prevention and handling of fire at the dam.

North Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept Head, Satriadi Gunawan disclosed fire socialization is outside of regular activities to schools and residential areas.

"Many people visit to the dam, so we use this momentum," he said, Tuesday (10/11).

Besides firefighter tools, traditional and modern fire extinguisher tool is also introduced to the residents. The instructor also gives fire handling practice to them, especially women. It includes how to put out fire on a frying pan, hose gas leaking, and gas stove.

"People should know how to handle a fire on a gas stove, especially mothers," he expressed.

One of Penjaringan residents, Ranto (45) said fire socialization is very helpful. Because, all this time, many people do not know how to prevent fires quickly and precisely.
