Wage Meeting Issued Two Numbers for 2017 UMP

The discussion on proposal for UMP nominal in Jakarta begins. From the meeting that held by Jakarta Wage Boards, there are two numbers issued for Jakarta UMP. It is proposed by employer and worker elements.

Member of Wage Boards from employer element, Sarman Simanjorang disclosed, there has been no agreement on the value of 2017 UMP.

"The trial is postponed until next week, because there has been no agreement. Two numbers have issued," he said, at City Hall, Wednesday (10/12).

2017 City UMP Discussion Session Held Today

From employer element, UMP calculation uses a formula that is in accordance with Government Regulation No. 78/2015 on wage. The formula is UMP plus with the growth of the national economy and with national inflation. The result obtained is Rp 3,351,040 or increase 8.11 percent.

While from worker element, UMP relied on basic cost of living (KHL) that has been surveyed. The worker did  survey at seven traditional markets, with KHL value by Rp 3.491,607.

The number then plus with economic growth and inflation. According to its calculation, they got Rp 3,831,690 or increase 23 percent.

"We agreed to decide the nominal results next week. Because every November 1, the governor shall set using governor regulation," he finished.
