As many as nine sidewalks in East Jakarta are arranged. The sidewalk widening project is aimed to give secure and comfort for pedestrian.
Previously, the sidewalks are always misused
Based on Beritajakarta.com’s observation, Wednesday (10/19), sidewalk at Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Malakasari, Duren Sawit is being improved. The sidewalk will be widened to be 3-6 meters.
East Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Bina Marga, Ahmad Juani Yusuf, admitted nine sidewalks to be improved totally. The sidewalks are spread in nine sub-districts.
City Prefers to Widen Sidewalk to Overcome Traffic Jam“Previously, the sidewalks are always misused,” he said.
