Temporary Shelter Capacity at Rumput Market Is Inadequate

Dozens of kiosks belonging street vendor (PKL) have set up kiosks along the sidewalk of Jl Sultan Agung, Manggis Market, Setiabudi, precisely in front of Rumput Market. They usually operate in afternoon until night.

Pasar Manggis Urban Village Head, Purwati explained, the street vendor was recorded and usually opens kiosk around Rumput Market before being controlled as program of the market revitalization. But, the capacity in temporary shelter is inadequate. That is why they prefer to sell on the sidewalk.

"Previously, they set up kiosk on the yard of Rumput Market. But the market cannot accommodate them. They are known under management of PD Pasar Jaya," she stated, Friday (11/11).

She added those requested for permission to PD Pasar, Satpol PP and urban village head to be allowed selling from 4-9 PM.

"But they must be orderly. If the revitalization is done, they will be relocated to inside again," she finished.
