120 PKWT of Transportation Agency Participated HIV Test

South Jakarta AIDS Eradication Commission (KPA) held Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) of HIV at the South Jakarta Sub-dept. of Transportation office, Tuesday (11/15).

As many as 120 temporary workers (PKWT) of the agency participated the program which is held two days from Tuesday (11/15) to Wednesday (11/16).

Free Health Service Given for 40 PeopleThe program is held to speed up the HIV/AIDS handling.
“We prevent the status changing from HIV to AIDS, prevent opportunistic infection, reduce transmission to other people, and give the health service as soon as possible,” he said.
The method applied for the program is rapid test. If the result is negative, participants must participate the test three months later. It is worried they are in window period.
If the result is positive, CD4 and virus level tests are held.
