919 Trees in South Jakarta Pruned

In order to anticipate the unwanted things, South Jakarta Sub-dept. of City Parks and Cemeteries have pruned 919 trees since October 2016 up to now.

It is hoped collapsed trees incident can be minimized through this effort

The pruning was held at 10 sub-districts in South Jakarta. In details are Setiabudi with 112 trees, Kebayoran Baru 104 trees, Tebet 134 trees, and Pancoran 155 trees.

Next are Kebayoran Lama 83 trees, Pasar Minggu 61 trees, Jagakarsa 110 trees, Cilandak 84, Mampang Prapatan 28, and Pesanggrahan 48 trees.

Trees Prone to Fall will Be Inventoried

Head Section of Green Belt for the agency, Bambang, said trees prone to collapse are angsana (Pterocarpus indicus) and banyan.

“It is hoped collapsed trees incident can be minimized through this effort,” he stated.
