A drain that located in Departemen Pertimbangan Agung (DPA) RI Residence, RT 07/08, Meruya Selatan, Kembangan were dredged by the officer of West Jakarta Water Management Sub-dept.

Section Head of Kembangan Sub-district's Water Management, Yusuf Kasim disclosed that the drain that has 300 meters long and 1.5 meters wide is dredged after receiving the request of residents because of mud in the drain.

"Because the drain is full of mud. Thus citizen house is often inundated as high as 20-30 meters when rain pours," he stated, Wednesday (11/23).

He stated that citizen settlement in such area is prone to flooding, because the position is located on the lowland. In addition, the drain construction has not been completed.

"Evidently, water flow on an empty land nearby the residence has yet to have the drain permanently," he finished.
