12 Illegal Buildings at Ciliwung Riverbank Demolished

Dozens of permanent buildings along Ciliwung riverbank, Jalan Batu, Gambir, Central Jakarta were demolished.

Four buildings are demolished by the owners

Gambir Sub-district Head, Fauzi, admitted his side had given warning letter before controlling the buildings. Mostly the owners wanted to cooperate.

“Four buildings are demolished by the owners,” he said, Monday (11/28).

Green Belt on Jalan Sumur Bor Occupied by Illegal Buildings

According to him, those buildings were occupied by 15 families or 35 people. Three families have been relocated to Pondok Bambu flat, and the rests prefer to go to their hometown.

During the controlling, his side deployed 45 personnel of Satpol PP, Sub-dept. of Water Management, Sub-dept. of Cleanliness and PPSU, and one heavy equipment.

“The location will be used as pump house,” he closed.
