HPV Immunization in Jakarta Is Still Safe

Jakarta Provincial Government is targeting able to conduct immunization in order to prevent infection of Human Pappilloma Virus (HPV) to 75 thousand of elementary school students in 5th and 6th grades this year. Until now, there has been no research that mentions negative effects of the immunization.

Jakarta Health Dept Head, Kosmedi Priharto appeals residents not to believe on issues related to negative effects of the immunization. This is because it has not been proven," he expressed, Monday (11/28).

According to him, until now, his side has conducted immunization to 70,000 students of student. And it is optimistic able to hit target by the end of this year.

HPV Immunization Stock in East Jakarta Is Safe

"So it's very important as anticipation. Currently, there have been 70,000 of students given immunization. Countries that have applied this system are United State and Australia that has been running since 10 years, while we just started," he stated.

From the data of WHO in September 2016, there have been 67 out of 194 countries in the world that apply the HPV immunization. Based on the health research in 2013, as many as 330,000 people with highest case of cervical cancer.
