Director of PT Transjakarta, Budi Kaliwono asserted, articulated bus operational is stopped to guarantee the safety of the bus passenger, following fire incident that burned the TJ054 bus at MT Haryono, Jakarta, Thursday (12/1) afternoon.
"We never tolerate any intereference that related with the safety aspect. All buses that we operate must be safe," he stated, Thursday (12/1).
Transjakarta Operates Normally on Dec. 2He ensured Transjakarta bus operational will remain normal, despite operational of 30 articulated buses are stopped. There will be 1,300 buses operate to serve the public.
As for the information, the fire that burned the TJ054 bus at Jl MT Haryono did not cause casualties.
Then Transjakarta immediately coordinated with Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Dept to put out the flames. The firemen managed to control it within 20 minutes. And now, the case has been entrusted to the police for investigation.
"Temporary allegation, fire came from front of cabin, due to electricity short-circuit," he told.
His side committed that aspects of the passenger safety and bus maintenance already meet the standard.
