South Jakarta Sub-dept. of Population and Civil Registration had issued 358 duplicates of birth certificate during January-November 2016. The duplicates were issued due to missing or damaged certificates.

Sapto Wibowo, agency’s head, said the incident-principle population service has been changed with domicile-principle. It means people who came from outside Jakarta or missing their certificate must propose the duplicate of certificate.

“High mobility of population affects the population service too,” he said, Friday (12/2).

Related with this matter, getting duplicate, residents must insert the ID card, family card, police letter, copy of missing birth certificate, duplicate proposal, and letter from local population agency (region where the certificate was issued).
