Heavy rain and strong wind caused two trees fell on Jalan Bina Marga Cipayung, East Jakarta, Sunday (12/4) at 1.15 PM. Those two trees had blocked the road and caused traffic jam.
Fallen trees are caused by extreme weather. Luckily the trees did not fall on vehicles
Vehicles from Cipayung heading to Ceger or vice versa were unable to pass the road.
Head Section of Operation for East Jakarta Sub-dept. of Fire Handling and Rescue, Gatot Sulaiman, said his side deployed eight personnel to evacuate the trees.
Strong Wind, 19 Trees Broken and Uprooted“Fallen trees are caused by extreme weather. Luckily the trees did not fall on vehicles,” he said, Sunday (12/4).
At 2 PM, personnel were still evacuating the trees. Several PPSU personnel were also deployed to assist the existing personnel.
