The arrangement of street vendor (PKL) in Kota Tua, West Jakarta will be centered on Jalan Cengkeh.

Jakarta Head Dept. of Cooperative, Micro Small Medium Enterprise and Trade, Irwandi, admitted the infrastructure and facility for the PKL will be started soon.

“All PKL in Kota Tua will be removed to Jalan Cengkeh,” he said.

According to him, the land to be used is 1.2 ha. The land is able to accommodate 450 PKLs. The infrastructure and facility development will not use city budget, but building flood coefficient (KLB) compensation.

There were 415 existing PKLs selling at Kali Besar Timur. 272 of them have registered for relocation.

“Socialization has been held before,” he closed.
