Cimanggis Reservoir Construction Accelerated

The construction of Cimanggis Reservoir in CIbubur, Ciracas, East Jakarta is accelerated. Three heavy equipments are operated to dredge the 5.8 ha of land.

Ideally, we need four heavy equipment to operate

Mahrudin, project’s supervisor, said the project is started on December 1, 2016 ago and will be temporarily stopped by the end of this month. The project will be continued in early next year.

“Ideally, we need four heavy equipment to operate. Of four heavy equipments, only three of them are operated, one of them can not be operated since the monitor been stolen,” he said, Monday (12/19).

According to him, the project also construct dike around the reservoir. Dike near Cipinang River is constructed by six meter wide and four meter wide near Caglak River.

“Cipinang River width around the reservoir will be widened from five to 14 meters. The river will be also dredged,” he added.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Head Dept. of Water Management, Teguh Hendrawan, explained the reservoir is targeted to complete in February 2017. The construction uses self-management budget. It means no auction for the project.

“We’ll add more heavy equipment up to 10 units to speed up the project,” he explained.
