PT Palyja Faces 9,100 Liter per Second Deficit

PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja) admitted its water management in the capital faced 9,100 liter per second deficit.
Water necessity is 26,100 liter per second, while our availability was 17,000 liter per second
The condition occurred since the water availability was not inline with the necessity.
“Water necessity is 26,100 liter per second, while our availability was 17,000 liter per second. It means we face 9,100 liter per second deficit,” said Meyritha Maryanie, Head Division Corporate Communication and Social Responsibility of PT Palyja, Wednesday (12/21).

“Each person water necessity per day is 60-120 liter per second,” she added.
At this moment, the service is only reach 61 percent to the citizen. It is targeted to reach 95 percent in 2020.
“We need additional raw water and network along 2,5000 km,” she continued.
Moreover, water theft also contributes the deficit.
“39 percent of deficit is caused by water theft,” she closed.
