Aid to Earthquake Victims Finally Arrived in Aceh

Jakarta Provincial Government gives aid to the earthquake victims in Pidie Jaya, Aceh. At 8 AM, it was officially received by Aceh Disaster Mitigation Agency, Lukfandi.

City Secretary, Saefullah disclosed, besides representing Jakarta, his party also represented Jakartans who concerned over this incident. The incident in Pidie Jaya could also be an evaluation for other areas to be more vigilant.

"Surely we hope it can be our evaluation and lesson to us all to be aware of the disaster," he said.

ZIS Collection in S. Jakarta Reached 85 Percent

Head of Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), Denny Wahyu explains, the aid is given in form of non cash to the local government. It is planned to be used for rehabilitation and reconstruction, either education or worship facility.

"The aid is combined with aids that collected from several parties," he stated.

As known, Jakarta government gave aid to the earthquake victims in Aceh amounting to Rp 250 million. It is from Jakarta BAZIS.
