This Year's Education Budget Reached 27 Percent

The budget allocation for education in the capital reached 27 percent of total 2017 APBD in the amount of Rp 70.19 trillion. The percentage is higher than national education budget allocation.

That means for education, we have passed national target up to 7 percent

Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono disclosed budget allocation target for education at national level is only 20 percent. Besides, the city administration has budgeted 27 percent.

"That means for education, we have passed national target up to 7 percent," he expressed, at City Hall, Tuesday (1/3).

2017 APBD Can Already Be used Per January 1st

Such allocation is including teacher salary, school renovation, Education Operational Aid (BOP), and Jakarta Smart Card (KJP). This year, KJP will be widened until college.

The man who popularly called as Son added, besides education, budget allocation for health has also passed national target, which is 10 percent. Besides the city has allocated 13 percent of total APBD.

In 2017 APBD in term of infrastructure, he continued, is focused on three things, namely transportation, cleanliness and flood handling.

The budget can already be used since January 1. It was ratified on December 19, 2016. Then evaluation result from Home Minstry was also completed a week ago.
