154 Vehicles in North Jakarta Netted

The ranks of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept have cracked down on 154 vehicles of two-, four-wheeled and trailer from some roads.

Of 154 vehicles, 84 out of them are ticketed, 27 two-wheeled vehicles and 16 four-wheeled vehicles are flattened, nine trailer trucks' operation are stopped and 18 other units are towed.

Illegal Parking, Private Vehicles Controlled From North Jakarta

North Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept Head, Benhard Hutajulu disclosed, the 154 vehicles netted is from the raid results since Monday (1/16) until morning.

"Our target is vehicle park illegally or stop in prohibited areas, such as roadside, sidewalk, around the bend and green belt," he stated, Tuesday (1/17).

During the raid, the officer did sweeping in illegal parking-prone areas, like Jalan Boulevard Kelapa Gading, RE Martadinata, Semper Raya, Mangga Dua, Yos Sudarso and Cilincing Raya.

"We do this to smoothen traffic flow," he expressed.
