PTSP to Serve Passport Application, Sumarsono Says

Jakarta Provincial Government together with Ministry of Law and HAM established passport making in One Door Integrated Service (PTSP). The effort is aimed to decrease service charge in Immigration office.

Acting Jakarta Governor, Sumarsono, admitted only PTSP in East Jakarta has been ready serving the passport service.
"In East Jakarta, we already cooperate with PTSP which support passport service. We both agreed to serve East Jakarta citizen and also will be applied in other areas," said Sumarsono, at City Hall, Wednesday (1/18).
City Intends to Open Passport Service at PTSP OfficeThere are two counters serving passport service in East Jakarta PTSP. Four personnel are standby for service.
City is ready to prepare a place to add this service at PTSP office of each region to ease the citizen. This service is targeted to operate in next February.
"We all know that immigration office is like overload serving passport," he added.
Jakarta Ministry of Law and HAM Regional Office Head, Endang said that staffs who serve the passport are still from the ministry's office. City just prepare service place. While passport making retribution cost is submitted to central government.
"Later, we will enhance PTSP to passport service unit. The service will be the same with immigration. Take photo and passport will be in one place," he closed.
