City Council (DPRD) Commission A Member, Gembong Warsono instructs Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Dept. to evaluate the water hydrant condition in the capital. It is to follow up the findings of the absence of water hydrant at Senen Market in a fire incident on Thursday (1/19).

"Linkages with water hydrant that does not have function, thus it should be evaluated," he expressed, Friday (1/20).

According to him, the entire existing hydrants should operate to support the firefighter officer to put out the flames. 

As planned, council will hold a commission internal meeting related to fire at Senen Market, Central Jakarta. It aims to check readiness of prevention and handling during fire.

"We want the hydrant matter to be discussed during meeting. Thus the readiness can be planned," he closed.
