Moblab Officially Operated in Jakarta Today

As many as six mobile laboratory cars (moblab) belongs to Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept. is officially operated, Wednesday (2/1) morning. It will be used by the operational officer, to routinely check various food needs in the market thus people can consume it safely.

This moblab is answering the needs of protection to the residents

Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono disclosed the moblab is a commitment of Jakarta Provincial Government to protect residents against food that containing hazardous substances.

"This moblab is answering the needs of protection to the residents. It is also to realize the real commitment of Jakarta government in giving protection against dangerous food," he expressed, during moblab launching on the yard of the City Hall.

Based on the analyze results, more than 95 percent of health problems suffered by people related with food caused by microbiological contamination and other hazardous ingredients.

He then instructs related units such as PD Pasar Jaya and Jakarta Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises (KUKMP) Dept to coordinate with Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept. to supervise circulation of dangerous foods.

"Supervision is further intensified in the centers of production, marketing and distributor of food ingredients that exist in the capital, especially during holidays like Ramadhan, Eid ul-Fitr and other religious holidays," he finished.
