AKAP Bus Still Operates at Lebak Bulus Terminal

Although they have been warned repeatedly, a number of intercity-interprovincial (AKAP) buses are still recklessly operating at Lebak Bulus Terminal, South Jakarta. Whereas, Ministry of Transportation has given a deadline of one week where terminal should be sterile from AKAP bus.

In terminal, there are around 50 buses operating

Lebak Bulus Terminal Head, Simon Ginting disclosed, every day, bus that enters into terminal is between 40-50 buses heading to Central Java, East Java, West Java and Palembang. They will depart at around 8 AM-9 PM.

AKAP Bus Operation is Banned in Nine Terminals

Yet the number of passengers is very few. This is because those prefer to ride bus from illegal terminal in Pondok Cabe, South Tangerang, Banten.

"This is just a transit terminal, at least each bus can only serve 7-10 people. In terminal, there are around 50 buses operating," he stated, Thursday (2/2).

He added, at Lebak Bulus Terminal, the number of Auto Bus Companies (PO) is 45 companies. But only 32 of them are active and the rest have been moved to Pulogebang.
