Bidara Cina Residents Request JPO Construction Over Mati River

The current bridge is not so feasible. We hope there will be built a permanent one

Bidara Cina Urban Village Residents in Jatinegara, requesting pedestrian bridge (JPO) over Mati River which connecting RW 07 and RW 11 residential. All this time, residents independently build own JPO by using bamboo.

Bidara Cina RW 11 Head, Jonhar Jonatan, said that residents forced to build emergency bridge so they don't have to follow a far path to visit another area. Moreover, there is RPTRA in RW 11 thus children of RW 07 want to visit it.

"The current bridge is not so feasible. We hope there will be built a permanent one," he said, Wednesday (2/8).

He added that residents also hoped JPO that will be built later is equipped with door thus everyone who passes can be monitored by each RW.

East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. Planning Section Head, Sidiq Bonatenra, stated that JPO construction above road or even river is included in the department authority. Thus, his side will proceed the proposal to province level.

"The budget is in Bina Marga Department. We proceed the proposal to department level," he closed.
