Jakarta Education Department agreed to City Council proposal to renovate 24 school buildings in 2018.
We will prepare activity planning in APBD-P 2017 thus total renovation can be budgeted in 2018 APBD
Actually those 24 schools are already in heavy renovation program using APBD 2017 together with another 31 schools. But, because the damage is quite severe, they assessed that it should be better to be in total renovation.
"The cancelled renovation is in accordance with City Council Commission E proposal that already observed 55 schools which will be renovated this year," said Sopan Adrianto, Head of Jakarta Education Department, Wednesday (2/8).
Renovation Towards 38 Schools Has Completed TotallyHe added that through total renovation program, those schools can accommodate more students. Thus the high needs of community around school can be assisted.
