Residents Request Jl. Inspeksi Kali Sindang to Be Fenced

Residents at RW 09, Koja Urban Village, Koja Sub-district, North Jakarta, requested to make iron fence along Jl. Inspeksi Kali Sindang that have 300 meters long to keep children safety because they usually play around that area.

Since it has been normalized 2 years ago, Jl. Inspeksi beside Sindang River is often used as children's play area. Residents worried that their children could fell into the river if there are no fence installed.

"Jl. Inspeksi Kali Sindang becomes crowded place for children to play. Without fence, we are worry that they could fell into river," said Nova, one of RW09 residents, Monday (2/13).

Koja Urban Village Head, Maskur, understand the situation. Moreover, Jl. Inspeksi is in residential area, thus it is needed to make safety fence at river side, with minimal height about 1.5 meters.

"For all this time, residents already proposed it. I also coordinate it with Forestry Sub-Dept. But, there was no follow up," he explained.

North Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. Head, Muhammad Iqbal, can not be confirmed yet about residents request because his mobile was not active when our journalist phoned him.
