Water channel on Jl. Plumpang, Semper, Koja, North Jakarta was dredged because already filled with mud.
Because the mud is filled with water channel thus we dredged it to make the channel can accommodate more water
Dredging was done to minimize flood frequencies which usually happens when raining.
Koja Sub-district Head, Yusuf Madjid, said that during rainy season, that area was always been flooded with 15-25 centimeters height.
Citizens Request to Build Water Channel"Because the mud is filled with water channel thus we dredged it to make the channel can accommodate more water," he said, Monday (2/13).
He explained that to dredge water channel that have 500 meters long was needed 20 freelancers from North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept.
"It is hopes the traffic flow is not hampered by flood again," he closed.
