We'll alert them until peak of rainy season ends

Nani (74), a citizen of RT 06/03, Kampung Melayu Urban Village expressed, water as high as 30 cm begins to inundate her settlement at around 5 AM. After being sucked up, water receded gradually. "It is seen since 8 AM, and now our settlement is dry," she expressed, Tuesday (2/14).

East Jakarta Water Resources Section Head's Maintenance, Yose Rizal explains both pumps have a capacity of 200 liters per second. They will be alerted until conditions are sterile.

"We'll alert them until peak of rainy season ends. If it is needed, we will send one more," he explained.

East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana added inundation is because of unoptimal pump house in Kampung Pulo. Consequently, when it rains, water in the channel cannot be flowed to Ciliwung River.

"Using mobile pumps, we can suck up water from the settlement. Thus inundation can be resolved quickly," he finished.
